Pershing middle school

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Pershing Middle School and a wonderful year of learning for your child. During this academic year, your child will encounter a vast array of experiences to enhance their educational growth and well-being.  Your child’s science class shall open pathways to explore their world in different perspectives.  Students will learn to become analytical thinkers as well as critical thinkers and apply previous knowledge to solve problems. They will also begin to enhance their skills of prediction to look in-depth to future problems and ways to change unfavorable trends in the environment and their surroundings.

Tutorials: Tuesday/Thursday from 3:50 - 4:30 p.m.

What's Happening in Science?

We are currently studying Earth Science.  This unit includes:

• Pangea
• Continental Drift and Plate Tectonics
• The Earth's Interior
• Plate Boundaries
• Rocks and the Rock Cycle

The students have a major project that is due on Nov. 14th.  Please check their agenda and the rubric for details.

The project date has been changed to Friday, Nov. 21st.
