Mrs. Harrison's 8th grade math class!!!
Summer is over and a new school year is beginning. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I hope you will find this year in math, fun and exciting. I am Mrs. Harrison and I am the math teacher for Cluster 8-2 . This is my first year at Pershing and I am looking forward to a great year.
GRADES: Report cards will go home every six weeks, and progress reports will go
MATERIALS: It is extremely important for students to come to class prepared for
Rules/Expectations: Every student will be expected to behave appropriately in my classroom. If for some reason this is not the case, consequences will go as follows...
1st offense: verbal warning
2nd offense: detention/parent contact
3rd offense: detention/parent contact
4th offense: office referral
Homework: Students will have math homework each night. Assignments for the week will be written at the beginning of class on Monday/Tuesday.

the day. In my class, students will need a pencil, red checking pencil, math book, workbook, agenda, math spiral and lots of glue sticks. Students are required to have a 3 to 5 subject spiral that is to be used only for math. home every three weeks. I will also send home detailed progress reports for those students who have a 74% or below. If the grade is low at progress report time, please contact me so we can discuss what needs to be done in the following weeks to improve the grade before report cards go out. Grades consist of 60% daily assignments and 40% major assignments. Daily assignments consist of homework, quizzes, classwork, participation, etc. Homework will be given every night except some Fridays, and is due the following day unless told otherwise.
