Language Arts

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our Language Arts class.  This year we will embark on an adventure of reading and writing using Reader Writer workshop.  The goal of this program is for students to develop the skills to become life long readers and writers.  Daily students are expected to read and write for extended periods of time.  As they build stamina, they will also develop critical thinking skills. 

Class Expectations

Read 300 minutes per week.  Log on reading log.

Write at least 7 one-page enteries in Writer's Notebook per week.

Take AR test on any AR book read.

Work hard and do your best everyday!
