Welcome to World Cultures!

This year will be fun, fascinating, and adventurous as we learn about our world and the people in it.

This year's History Fair theme is "The Individual in History" and is mandatory for all students in G/T classes and extra credit for A/P students.  A packet went home after Labor Day with important dates and information on this project, but please visit the website www.nationalhistoryday.org for more detailed information. Topic selection sheets are due September 19th.

Your child will soon be required to bring to class and orally present a summarized current event. This will be assigned on a regular basis with alphabetical rotations by last name, so depending on class size, your child will have a current event due every 4-6 wks.  Subscription to a newspaper is not required as articles can be found online and printed from most major newspapers' websites. The article must be attached to the summary and will result in a grade of 50 until it is brought to class. This will be explained in more detail in class and at the Open House.
