Swimmers who are interested in joining the Pershing swim team can increase their skills and their swimming ability by joining a local polo league. The forms to join the league may be picked up in the girl's coaches office from Coach Hargrove. The fall season lasts from Sept. 7 until Nov. 7th.

The Pershing Athletic Staff is giving students one more day before school begins to recieve their football equipment for the upcoming season. Athletes must have a combination lock and their $35 cash for their insurance for equipment to be distributed. Equipment can be picked up this Friday, August 21 from 2-4.

Football players may pick up their equipment for the upcoming year on Thursday, August 13th and Friday, August 14th from 2-4 in the gym. Athletes must have their paperwork turned in and on file and a combination lock to secure their equipment in an assigned locker.

Any student interested in playing sports during the 2009-2010 school year will have the opportunity to have a physical examination from a doctor at Pershing in the gym after school on August 27th. The cost is $20 and only cash will be accepted. Please bring your physical examination form signed by both the parent and student with you to the gym on the day of the exam.
