Good Afternoon,
I hope this email finds you all in good spirit this beautiful Tuesday (Wish I was fishing or golfing right about now). I’m sending each and every one of you a plethora amount of gratitude and a standing ovation for the 2009 Cross Country season. You have shown you child a true meaning of commitment and communication, which will help guide them in the long run. I humbly thank you for entrusting me with your pride and joy, in allowing me to be that support/motivator away from home. This season was a huge improvement from last year. As a team (including me) we’ve learned, challenged, stumbled, laughed and grew together.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, October 21) after school the team will be taking pictures in the Big Gym.
Please make sure to remind the guys to bring there Cross Country shirts & Jersey tomorrow

Girls Baskeball Tryout Information
Download the following informational flyer to find out about the Girls Basketball Tryouts.
Due to a scheduling conflict on Pershing’s fields, the Saturday practices in October (beginning 10/3/09) will be held from 2 pm – 4 pm, at St. Catherine’s Montessori School (9821 Timberside, near South Campus). Starting November 2nd, practices will be held on Monday & Tuesday afternoons, on Pershing’s fields, from 4 pm – 5:30 pm.
Great news! We will indeed have a Fall season this year. Pershing has authorized the lacrosse team to use its fields for practices, beginning on Saturday, October 3rd. Practices will be held weekly on Saturdays, from 8 am – 10 am, through December 19th. After Pershing’s football season ends, additional Monday afternoon practices will commence November 2nd and continue through December 21st.
In order to participate in the Fall season, each player must: (1) be a member of US Lacrosse, (2) complete the Medical Treatment Authorization and Waiver and the PBLC Code of Conduct forms, and (3) pay a $50 fee to Pershing Boys Lacrosse Club. The forms may be downloaded from this website and will be collected at the first practice, along with proof of USL membership and payment of the fee.
For players with prior playing experience, the Fall season will provide some tournament opportunities. For inexperienced players, it will be a great conditioning exercise and learning the basic skills necessary for the game.”
