First I would like to say how glad I am to be a part of the Pershing team and how much I have enjoyed teaching and getting to know each of the dance students this past semester. I look forward to seeing these students grow into beautiful and strong performers.

I’m excited about the tap program that has been implemented for all the dance students this year and I have been impressed at how fast they have picked up the steps and style of tap. We tap every Wednesday on Panda Day and I hope to see more tap dancing in the spring dance show.

We had a busy Fall Semester learning jazz, ballet and tap and a field trip for each grade level. The students were able to experience seeing professional dancers at their best and understand what hard work and dedication it takes to be a true artist. This semester we will continue working the same styles of dance concentrating on more technical skills and steps as well as learning the styles of modern and hip-hop dance.

I would like to challenge every dancer at Pershing to continue working hard and strive for excellence in all areas of their dance training. Wow, I can’t wait to see what you can do in the Spring Dance Concert in May!

Bellaire Community Dance Concert at 7:00 PM at Bellaire

Pershing Dance Company to perform

March 10 – 14 (Wednesday – Sunday)

New York Trip for Dance & Art
