Comments Off In early June, Ruth Lin, a recent Pershing graduate, was in New York City with her family and her art teacher, Stephanie Perugini, to receive her prestigious Scholastic Art Gold Medal for her pen and ink drawing titled “Scout.” The award ceremony was held at the famous Carnegie Music Hall. Carnegie was filled to capacity by well-wishers, celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of the National Scholastic Gold and Silver Art and Writing Medal winners. Ruth Lin’s artwork will be exhibited at numerous New York art galleries over the next two years. Award winners were mentioned in the New York Times. What a wonderful accomplishment!!!!
