Colonial Days – Items Needed
On September 22 Pershing will have Colonial Days. We are in need of glass jars with lids and old political yard signs. In addition anyone who sews and are willing to make aprons for the event please contact Mrs. Shufelt @ bshufelt@houstonisd.org at 713-295-5240. All jars and signs can be dropped off in room 238.
August 26th- Pershing MS Call Out
Pershing Parents,
We want to thank everyone for a great start to our new school year. Parents – we have a few reminders for you. Our school day begins at 8:45 and there are no staff on duty to monitor students until 8 AM. Please do not drop off students before that time. Remember that our YMCA offers a before and after school program for only $35 a month, or it is free if you are member of the Y.
Parents – students should be picked up and dropped off in the circle lot at the front of the building. Please do not drop off or pick up students in the teacher’s lot off of Stella Link. This poses a serious safety hazard for students when there are cars trying to pull in and out of parking spaces. Also parents, our circle lot is a designated fire zone, so please do not leave your car in that area or it may be ticketed or towed.

Uniform Store Announcement
We now have all sizes and colors of crew necks and t-shirts in stock! Hoodies are also available in all sizes/colors. We have only a limited supply of Spirit Shirts left…sizes and colors are limited.
The uniform store will be open tomorrow (Friday, August 26th) from 8am- 9am. Our regular hours will be Tuesday mornings from 8:15 – 8:45 and Thursdays at lunch.
